Accommodation & catering

Accomodation

The Organising Committee has carefully selected accommodation for all of our expected and accredited guests – athletes, officials, volunteers, EUSA Family, VIP guests, referees – who will be staying at the Student Campuses, in dormitories and official hotels.

CAMILO JOSÉ CELA RESIDENCE

All accredited athletes and team officials participating in the European Universities Badminton Championship 2025 will be accommodated at the UCJC Residence, located within the chill and green surroundings of the Villafranca Campus of Camilo José Cela University.

This modern university residence provides an ideal environment for rest, recovery, and social interaction among delegations. Surrounded by nature and situated just 20 minutes from the competition venue (Rey Felipe VI Sports Centre in Boadilla del Monte), it ensures a comfortable and convenient stay for all participants.

Facilities and Services:

The residence is equipped with high-quality amenities designed specifically for university athletes:

  • Single, double and triple rooms (bathroom shared by two rooms or communal bathroom)

  • Common areas, study rooms, and recreational lounges

  • 24-hour reception and security

  • Laundry service available on-site

  • There are 2 washing machines and 2 dryers in each building (2 buildings in total). They cost €1 and €1.50 respectively. They only work with coins, and there is no coin change machine available. Please make sure to bring coins if you plan to do laundry.

  • On arrival, you will find a towel placed on your bed. This towel will be changed on Wednesday, and you will need to use the new towel for the remainder of the championship. Please leave the used towel on your bed on Wednesday so it can be replaced.

  • Free Wi-Fi across all facilities

These facilities aim to provide a secure, restful, and interactive environment, fostering both recovery and community among university teams.

Rules and Conduct:

To ensure a respectful and safe stay for all guests, the following rules apply at the UCJC Residence:

  • Noise must be kept to a minimum after 22:30h.

  • Visitors not registered in the Championship will not be permitted access to the accommodation areas.

  • Damage to property will result in financial penalties and potential sanctions against the respective delegation.

  • Any misuse of fire alarms or emergency systems will be considered a serious violation.

All guests are expected to always respect the residence rules and staff instructions.

Check-in & Check-out Procedure:

Upon completing the accreditation process, participants will receive their room key cards and may proceed to their assigned accommodations.

  • Check-in: Available after receiving accreditation

  • Check-out: All guests must check out by 10:30h on their day of departure

If the actual departure is later, luggage can be securely stored at the reception. Heads of Delegation (HoDs) must notify the reception one day prior to departure and oversee the return of key cards and room inspections. Inspections will be carried out jointly by the HoD and residence staff. In case of any damages, a damage report will be issued, and the corresponding charges will be sent to the university for payment based on the official residence fee list.
